European Education in Grade 3/4: Myrtel’s Treasure Hunt
An exciting trip through seven European countries awaits the students in grade 3. The trip encompasses all learning areas of the German language subject, and is designed to interconnect different school subjects as well.
A large colorful treasure map leads the children through the countries. Only after all of the exercises have been worked out, with the help of a worksheet, may the treasure chest be opened. It always contains a treasure which is typical to the country and which cannot be bought with money. The students work towards the opening of the treasure chest full of anticipation.
With their worksheet for the respective country, the students can independently select the order of their tasks, work on them, and check their results at their own pace.
Depending on interest, the work can be extended to include other subjects. As a result, students will gain not only a sound knowledge of the German language, but will also be provided with a comprehensive general education.
"Myrtel’s Treasure Hunt" consists of more than 500 attractively designed pages. It is an interconnecting learning system, in which the language book, text book, exercise book, and study book are integrated.
In addition, an extensive Teacher’s Manual with didactic commentary, a card index of opportunities, and a CD with dances, songs, and simple conversation exercises, as well English modules in each country are available.
